Shady Hollow Austin

Back in the early 70's, Shady Hollow Austin was a sleepy community in "way-out" South Austin. The banks had planned for a real money-maker project: as many homes as they could possibly cram into the available space. But they didn't count on the resistance and resourcefulness of their tenants...

The first Shady Hollow Homeowners Association put up a fight. They wanted to preserve the beauty of their neighborhood for generations to come. Due to their foresight and persistence, the Shady Hollow Austin of today offers lots of green spaces with old-growth trees, parks, and recreational installations.

Capistrano Park includes playscapes, tennis courts, and a pool for residents as well as the Shady Hollow Stingrays swim team.

Doe Run Park features walking paths and even an area for contemplative reflection. The adjacent Shady Hollow Community Center may be rented for parties and celebrations of all kinds.

Easy access to award-winning schools, as well as the close proximity to South Austin shopping centers and entertainment opportunities, make Shady Hollow Austin one of the most coveted neighborhoods in the Greater Austin area.
